“If all the world is a commodity, how poor we grow. When all the world is a gift in motion, how wealthy we become.”

- Robin Wall Kimmerer

This series is the overflow of inspiration that was sparked from Nina’s masters thesis on an Eco-Theology of Sabbath. The concept that healthy ecosystems are a signpost of enoughness — a world in which all creatures experience sustaining reciprocity — left her curious about the possibility of humanity learning from the non-human creation about community care.

Each piece in this series is intended to be a window in a world that includes this harmonious reciprocity. They are invitations for the the viewer to “look at the birds and wildflowers,” as Jesus instructed, and consider what we can learn from these Beings about life in God’s World.
